If you have never read a book by Abby Jimenez, then you’re missing out!
If you love Abby’s books then you’re about to read your favorite book by her so far!
Vanessa is everything you could ever want in a character. She’s funny, she’s caring, and she’s living her best life because she may not make it to age 30 due to a genetic debilitating disease….ALS. Oh there is also the fact that Vanessa became a mother figure over night after her troubled sister dropped off her baby and never came back.
While Vanessa isn’t looking for love, she finds it in Adrian, her next door neighbor who is having serious trust issues after discovering his girlfriend isn’t who she said she is. So two single people who aren’t looking for love find companionship in one another. However the more time they spend together the harder it gets to keep feelings at bay. Adrian and Vanessa are so perfect for each other it’s comical! The only thing that’s getting in the way is Vanessa’s 30th birthday is coming up, and she’s having issues with her fingers…a sign of ALS.
I don’t even know what to say about Life’s Too Short! I loved it so much! Definitely in my top 5 reads for 2020! What is it about this author’s writing that makes me laugh, cry, and laugh some more. I’ve had a major hangover after reading every single one of her books, and this one is no exception. Just when I think a book can’t top The Happy Ever After Playlist….along comes Life’s Too Short.
This gem comes out April 2021! I was lucky to win a copy from the author! Thank you Abby Jimenez and Forever Pub for sending this amazing book my way!

A brilliant and touching romantic comedy from the USA Today bestselling author of The Friend Zone and The Happy Ever After Playlist.
Vanessa lives life on her own terms — one day at a time, every day to its fullest. She isn’t willing to waste a moment or miss out on an experience when she has no idea whether she shares the same fatal genetic condition as her mother. Besides, she has way too much to do, traveling the globe and showing her millions of YouTube followers the joy in seizing every moment.
But after her half-sister suddenly leaves Vanessa in custody of her infant daughter, she is housebound, on mommy duty for the foreseeable future, and feeling totally out of her element.
The last person she expects to show up offering help is the unbelievably hot lawyer who lives next door, Adrian Copeland. After all, she barely knows him. But as they get closer, Vanessa realizes that her carefree ways and his need for a structured plan could never be compatible for the long term. Then again, she should know better than anyone that life’s too short to fear taking the biggest risk of all. . .
