Thoughts

You know that book you have had on your shelves for awhile, and you finally pick it up and wonder why you didn’t sooner?  Yes?! This is that book for me and it brought me out of my slump.

Blaire has come a long way since she started her food truck Cupcakes to Go, and is getting ready to open her own store, Buttercream & Booze.  Little to her knowledge, the sexy plaid wearing Ronan is getting ready to open The Knight Cap next door.  While Blaire has poetry slams, Ronan has live bands, and unfortunately since they share a wall the loud music cuts into Blaire’s events.

When a big chain opens across the street, Blaire & Ronan figure out that it’s easier to work together than apart to keep the crowds coming back.  When influencer Tori Taylor announces on her YouTube Channel that she is looking for the best bar up and down the Pacific Northwest, Blaire and Ronan’s events get bigger.  The more they collaborate, the harder it gets to fight their feelings for each other.

Dang this book! I read this in one day.  That is how much I loved it!  If you’re looking for a quick, feel good romance for this month of love look no further.  There are 2 things I would change: 1) Ronan STOP talking during the steamy parts.  His words in the throw of it all made me cringe!  2) More STEAM!

This one is out now!

Goodreads Synopsis

Blaire Calloway has planned every Instagram-worthy moment of her cupcake and cocktails shop launch down to the tiniest detail. What she didn’t plan on? Ronan Knight and his old-school sports bar next door opening on the very same day. He may be super swoony, but Blaire hasn’t spent years obsessing over buttercream and bourbon to have him ruin her chance at success.

From axe throwing (his place) to frosting contests (hers), Blaire and Ronan are constantly trying to one-up each other in a battle to win new customers. But with every clash, there’s also an undeniable chemistry. When an even bigger threat to their business comes to town, they’re forced to call a temporary time-out on their own war and work together. And the more time Blaire spends getting to know the real Ronan, the more she wonders if it’s possible to have her cupcake and eat it too.
