My Mini Thoughts
What the heck did I just read?!!! This book was all over the place! First we have Gray who just received her first missing persons case. Isabel Lincoln’s boyfriend is concerned because he has not heard from her for over a week, and she took his dog Kenny G. He hires Gray to find her. According to friends, Isabel’s boyfriend is not a good guy. He is possessive, abusive and a liar. After contacting one of Isabel’s friends, she starts getting text messages from someone claiming to be the missing woman. Gray asks for proof, but when she receives it “Isabel” doesn’t realize that Gray is too smart to be duped by a fake photo. The hunt is on.
This is when my head started spinning. Chapters alternate between a woman named Natalie and Gray. Who the heck is Natalie?! Thankfully the author didn’t leave me hanging for long. I started wondering if anyone was who they really said/claimed they were. It didn’t seem like it. Although there were some good twists thrown in, this book wasn’t for me, but I am glad I read it.
